Led by Dr. Brent Anderson, founder and president of Polestar® Pilates, this introductory seminar covers:
- The history and philosophy of the Pilates method
- Core concepts of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
- The principles of movement control
- Professional ethics in teaching and client care

Certification
After each module, participants receive a Polestar® Pilates Certificate of Attendance (USA)

Upon passing the final assessment, you will earn the internationally recognized Polestar® Pilates Reformer Instructor Certificate (USA)

Polestar® Pilates Reformer Training includes:

  • Introductory video course on Polestar Movement Principles. The Polestar® Pilates Movement Principles video seminar is available optionally in English (with the option to select Russian subtitles). The seminar is led by Brent Anderson, founder and president of the Polestar® Pilates school.

  • Three modules, each lasting two days, totaling 6 contact days (one module equals 16 hours).

The extended training allows for a gradual assimilation of information, honing teaching mastery, and refining personal practice. On average, the course lasts 4-5 months.

Additional study materials:

  • Color manuals (high-quality photos, full exercise descriptions, methodological materials).
  • Personal account with video content (lectures and lessons).
  • Lesson cards.

Important! Participation in all three Polestar® Pilates Reformer levels and the Polestar® Pilates Movement Principles seminar grants you the right to take the final international exam and earn the International Polestar® Pilates Trainer Certificate!

Polestar® Pilates Reformer I — October 4-5, 2025
The Pilates Reformer is ideal for small group and private sessions, fitness, and physical conditioning. During the first module of this two-day course, you will learn to lead Pilates Reformer mat classes designed for beginner and intermediate levels. The course covers 14 exercises from the Pilates Reformer repertoire.

  • Reformer machine setup and safety rules.
  • Main goals and objectives of the exercises.
  • Precautions and contraindications for exercise performance.
  • Exercises and modifications for beginners, continuing clients, and advanced clients.
  • Methods for creating classes for beginner and advanced clients.
  • Essential teaching methods and skills for effective class delivery.

Polestar® Pilates Reformer II — November 29-30, 2025
This module introduces 14 new exercises to expand your repertoire for group and private teaching. The course helps you develop clients’ skills with more advanced exercise variations aimed at core control, balance, coordination, flexibility, and limb strength. A practical lab and a lecture on tactile and visual cueing will improve your command accuracy, movement quality, and teaching skills.

Module topics:

  • Precautions and contraindications for exercise performance.
  • Exercises and modifications for beginners, continuing clients, and advanced clients.
  • Methods for creating classes for beginner and advanced clients.
  • Essential teaching methods and skills for effective class delivery.
  • Presentation of cues: verbal, visual, and tactile command usage.

Polestar® Pilates Reformer III — January 30 to February 1, 2026
This module introduces 17 new exercises to further expand your repertoire for group and private teaching. The course enables you to enhance clients’ abilities with more complex variations focused on core control, balance, coordination, flexibility, and limb strength. It also provides tools for creating training programs for all levels, including rehabilitation clients and athletes pursuing sports performance.

Module topics:

  • Precautions and contraindications for exercise performance.
  • Exercises and modifications for advanced clients and special populations.
  • Additional factors positively influencing communication.
  • Program planning for intermediate and advanced clients.

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Correctly perform the full Pilates exercise complex (45 exercises) on the Reformer, including variations and modifications.
  • Accurately describe the main principles of each exercise.
  • Understand the usage rules and safety measures when working with the Reformer.
  • Recognize common contraindications and precautions when performing Reformer exercises.
  • Identify key anatomical bony landmarks necessary for leading sessions.
  • Correct common exercise execution errors according to Polestar Pilates principles.
  • Understand and demonstrate how exercises impact muscle groups depending on body positioning and equipment settings.
  • Understand the increasing complexity of each exercise from beginner to advanced level.
  • Know Polestar exercise categories and plan classes accordingly.
  • Modify Reformer exercises based on client needs using leverage, range of motion, base of support, and tempo adjustments.
  • Acquire theoretical and practical understanding of Polestar teaching methods: verbal, tactile, and combined cueing.

To register, please pay a deposit of 300 euros. The remaining balance can be paid before the seminar.
The deposit payment can be made after completing the registration.

Once the deposit is paid, you will be granted access to the online Polestar platform, where the required Polestar® Pilates Movement Principles video seminar materials and tests will be available.

You may pay for the entire course upfront or in installments for each part separately.
