Polestar Pilates Exam
Polestar Pilates training introduces all the essential aspects needed to become a well-rounded and professional Pilates instructor.
Throughout the program, we develop skills in client assessment, communication, teaching, and personal demonstration.
Polestar students are invited to take the certification exam approximately 6 to 12 months after completing the course. This period is intended for practice—refining personal practical and teaching skills, and consolidating course material.
Upon passing the exam, students receive an international Polestar Pilates certificate (for Pilates Mat, Comprehensive Studio, or Pilates Reformer courses), which is recognized in the certified instructors’ registry on the website www.polestarpilates.com in over 50 countries worldwide. This certification makes them members of the Polestar Pilates International professional community.
The exam consists of four parts. To pass successfully, students must achieve a minimum score of 80% in each section.
Polestar Pilates Mat Exam
Duration: 1 day
Exam Components:
- Written test: 50 multiple-choice questions
- Creation of two group class sequences for specific client groups
- Demonstration of personal practice on the mat during a class
- Teaching skills demonstration for groups of various levels, including verbal, visual, imagery-based, and tactile cueing, in accordance with Polestar Pilates Education standards.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Completion of Polestar Pilates Movement Principles
- Completion of Polestar Pilates Mat Modules 1, 2, and 3
- Polestar Functional Testing (Fitness Screening)
- Anatomy course (minimum 8 hours)
- Fully completed Student Logbook
Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Studio Exam
Duration: 2 days
Exam Components:
- Written test: 50 multiple-choice questions
- Client fitness screening analysis, identification of client issues, and creation of 3 progressive training sequences using full equipment and mat exercices
- Demonstration of personal practice on equipment and mat
- Teaching skills demonstration in both group and individual settings for clients of various levels, including verbal, visual, imagery-based, and tactile cueing, following Polestar Pilates Education internal standards
Eligibility Requirements:
- Completion of Polestar Pilates Movement Principles
- Completion of all 6 Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Modules
- Polestar Functional Testing (Fitness Screening)
- Anatomy course (minimum 8 hours)
- Fully completed Student Logbook
Polestar Pilates Reformer Exam
Duration: 1 day
Exam Components:
- Written test: 50 multiple-choice questions
- Creation of two Reformer group class sequences for specific client groups
- Demonstration of personal practice on the Reformer during a class
- Teaching skills demonstration for groups of different levels, including verbal, visual, imagery-based, and tactile cueing, in alignment with Polestar Pilates Education standards
Eligibility Requirements:
- Completion of Polestar Pilates Movement Principles
- Completion of Polestar Pilates Reformer Modules 1, 2, and 3
- Polestar Functional Testing (Fitness Screening)
- Anatomy course (minimum 8 hours)
- Fully completed Student Logbook
General Recommendations:
The exam should be taken within 2 years of completing your studies, but no earlier than 6 months after course completion.
If the exam is not taken within 2 years, it is recommended to repeat the course. A 50% discount is offered for course repetition.
Exam Registration and Fees
To register for the exam, a €100 deposit is required.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 2 months before the exam date.
You will be able to make the deposit payment after completing your registration.
