Polestar Comprehensive Studio

If you're considering a career as a personal Pilates instructor—or already working in the field and looking to deepen and organize your existing knowledge—this course is designed specifically for you.

What to Expect:
During the Comprehensive Studio Polestar® Pilates course, you will learn over 150 exercises, along with numerous variations and modifications.

The training includes extensive work with a range of Pilates apparatus:
- Reformer

- Trapeze Table (Cadillac)

- Pilates Chair

- Ladder Barrel

- Spine Corrector

- Mat exercises

Comprehensive Studio Polestar® Pilates Course Includes:
- Introductory Video Seminar – “Polestar Movement Principles”
– Delivered in English
– Taught by Dr. Brent Anderson, founder and president of Polestar® Pilates
- 6 in-person modules (2 days each)
– A total of 12 contact days, with each module comprising 16 hours of instruction


Course Duration: approximately 9–10 months
This extended training period allows for a progressive learning experience, deeper integration of theory, enhanced teaching skills, and continued personal practice development.

The Polestar Movement Principles introductory video seminar must be completed before starting the main training.

Each Comprehensive Pilates Module consists of:
- Theoretical content (lectures on anatomy, teaching theory, and methodology)
- Practical training (learning and mastering movement techniques, instruction on how to teach exercises using Pilates equipment)
- Fitness assessment (evaluating and analyzing the client’s functional abilities, setting goals, and designing exercise sequences and progressions aligned with the Polestar Pilates principles)

Additional learning materials include:
-Full-color manuals (high-quality photos, complete exercise descriptions, and methodological content)

- Personal account on the Polestar platform with access to video content (lectures and classes)

Upon completing the course, you will be able to:
- Assess a client’s functional condition and readiness for physical load, and select the most effective exercises

- Apply the principles of working with large Pilates equipment: Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, as well as mat-based exercises and small Pilates props

- Follow safety guidelines and equipment maintenance procedures

- Perform all exercises and their modifications correctly

- Solve practical tasks and develop functional rehabilitation plans for specific client cases

- Modify basic exercises based on individual client capabilities

Participation in all 6 Polestar® Pilates Comprehensive modules and the Polestar® Pilates Movement Principles seminar grants you the right to take the final International Certification Exam and obtain the Polestar® Pilates International Instructor Certificate.

Schedule for each module: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Lunch break: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Comprehensive Studio Module 1
October 11–12, 2025

Module Topics:

  • Movement contraindications
  • Bony landmarks
  • Equipment setup and safety basics
  • Exercise demonstrations, group discussions, and teamwork
  • Polestar fitness screening

Objective:
To master foundational exercises for beginners using various Pilates equipment, and to introduce functional assessment according to the Polestar Pilates method.

Theory:
Contraindications for movement, identifying bony landmarks, and training on equipment setup focused on client safety and optimal positioning for the instructor.

Practice:
Exercises for hip joints, basic core stabilization, thoracic spine mobility, and lower limb alignment.

Comprehensive Studio Module 2
December 6–7, 2025

Module Topics:

  • Program development and planning
  • Polestar fitness screening
  • Clinical case analysis and program design

Objective:
To master foundational exercises for beginner and low-intermediate clients using various types of equipment.

Theory:
Creating Polestar Pilates training programs and exercise sequences.

Practice:
Shoulder placement fundamentals, spinal mobility in flexion and lateral flexion, core strengthening, spinal elongation, and lower limb stretching techniques.

Comprehensive Studio Module 3
February 7–8, 2026

Module Topics:

  • Practical assessment
  • Exercise demonstrations, group discussions, and teamwork
  • Use of imagery in cueing – lecture and application
  • Polestar fitness screening
  • Clinical case analysis and program design

Objective:
To master core exercises suitable for intermediate-level clients using various Pilates equipment.

Theory:
The use of imagery as a tool in Polestar Pilates training.

Practice:
Loaded exercises to improve upper limb function, alignment and balance in standing position, intermediate-level core stabilization, balanced spinal mobility, and analysis of moderate complexity movements.

Comprehensive Studio Module 4
March 28–29, 2026

Module Topics:

  • Tactile cueing – lecture and hands-on work
  • Polestar fitness screening
  • Clinical case analysis and program design

Objective:
To master exercises for intermediate to advanced beginner clients using a range of Pilates equipment.

Theory:
Tactile cueing strategies in Polestar Pilates training.

Practice:
Loaded upper limb strengthening exercises for advanced clients, core activation during spinal flexion, moderate-level standing exercises, lower limb strengthening and alignment, and spinal elongation exercises for more experienced clients.

Comprehensive Studio Module 5
May 16–17, 2026

Module Topics:

  • Communication – lecture and application
  • Polestar fitness screening
  • Clinical case analysis and program design

Objective:
To master advanced-level exercises using various Pilates equipment.

Theory:
Communication skills in the context of Pilates instruction.

Practice:
Advanced spinal flexion exercises for core strengthening, upper and lower limb strengthening for advanced clients, lateral flexion exercises, balance work in standing position, and exploration of advanced movement patterns.

Comprehensive Studio Module 6
July 4–5, 2026

Module Topics:

  • Practical assessment
  • Exercise demonstrations, group discussions, and teamwork
  • Energy therapy – lecture
  • Polestar fitness screening
  • Clinical case analysis and program design
  • Course wrap-up and review

Objective:
To master advanced exercises across all movement planes and positions using various Pilates equipment.

Theory:
Bioenergetics and the therapeutic effects of movement.

Practice:
Advanced-level exercises in all planes and starting positions, application of knowledge through case-based tasks, and training plan development using the Polestar Fitness Screening methodology.


To register, a deposit of €300 is required.
The remaining balance can be paid before the seminar.

You will be able to make the deposit payment after completing your registration.

Once the deposit is received, you will be granted access to the online Polestar platform, where you will find the required video seminar materials and tests for the Polestar® Pilates Movement Principles.
